I'm Kim Smith. I'm a self-taught artist. I've been creative with drawing ever since I could hold a crayon. When I was in my pre-teens I started designing clothes & gradually went into jewelry design. At age 15, my mom sent in some of my clothing designs to a design college in So. California & I was accepted. I never went, because I chose to pursue my other loves of singing & acting. I ended up moving to Las Vegas in 1986 from California for singing & impersonating gigs as Marilyn Monroe. I married my husband Sean in 2002 & with his encouragement I started painting in 2005...it was something I wanted to learn"someday". He didn't want me to wait for "someday". The rest is history. I've been painting passionately ever since. My favorite medium is acrylic on canvas. My style is contemporary abstract, tiki art & mid-century pop. As you can see with my work, I love color & have inspiration from my early years of the late 60's- the 70's. Thanks for stopping by!
